Climate

Castellón enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and warm summers, with a pleasant average annual temperature of 18ºC. Average year-round temperatures generally vary from between 10ºC in January and 25ºC in August.

The city records more than 300 days of sunshine per year. Its excellent climate has made Castellón one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations.

The Mediterranean Sea and the many cultures who have sailed here on it have left their mark on the province’s landscapes, towns, monuments and way of life. People living in Castellón spend much of their time in the open air.
